Raising poultry for eggs or meat has always made sense. In today's uncertain economy it makes even more sense to develop at least this much self sufficiency.

The links to the left will help you choose your path and be sucsessfull with your chicken hobby.

Whether you plan to hatch or buy chicks you will need to be familair with brooding (keeping chicks warm and safe) so be sure to check out that link on the left.

If you are buying young hens or pullets you will still need to be prepared with proper shelter, feed, feeders and waterers.
